Biochemical control and toxicity outcomes of SBRT vs LDR brachytherapy in the treatment of low and intermediate risk prostate cancer - International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics
Biochemical control and toxicity outcomes of SBRT vs LDR brachytherapy in the treatment of low and intermediate risk prostate cancer - International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics: SBRT and LDR monotherapy are both accepted options in the treatment of low and intermediate
risk prostate cancer, however there has been minimal data published comparing these
two modalities to date. We found that biochemical control was similar for both treatments
at five years. GU toxicity was similar for both, while GI toxicity was slightly higher
with SBRT and AUA/EPIC scores were higher with LDR.
